Cemented carbide plate, also known as tungsten carbide sheet, is a composite material made from tungsten carbide and other metal bonding agents such as cobalt, nickel or titanium by a high temperature sintering process. It is widely used in many industrial applications because of its high hardness, high wear resistance, high strength and good chemical stability.

Characteristics of Cemented Carbide Plate

High hardness: the hardness of Cemented Carbide Plate is usually between HRA 89-92, which is much higher than that of ordinary steel.

High wear resistance: Due to the high hardness of Cemented Carbide, it has excellent wear resistance and is suitable for use in high wear environments.

High strength: Cemented Carbide plates have high strength along with high hardness and can withstand large mechanical stresses.

Production process of Cemented Carbide plates

Powder preparation: mix tungsten carbide powder and metal bonding agent powder.

Pressing and moulding: Press the mixed powder into raw blanks of the required shape.

Sintering: The billet is sintered at high temperatures to densify it and form a solid Cemented Carbide sheet.

Post-treatment: The sintered plates are ground, polished and coated as required to improve their surface quality and performance.
